Privacy
How we process data.
This information applies to the public Pulse website and the launch list.
Controller
Codegenie, Gentsestraat 98a bus 001, 8530 Harelbeke, België, BTW BE0770651142. For privacy questions, email info@codegenie.be.
Which data and why
We process your normalised email address, language, registration source, consent version and the times at which your registration was requested, the confirmation email was sent, and the registration was confirmed or withdrawn. We use this data only to send your confirmation email and relevant Pulse launch updates.
Your consent is the legal basis for launch updates. To prevent abuse, we temporarily process a pseudonymised network identifier based on our legitimate interest in keeping the public registration route available and secure.
Confirmation and unsubscribing
Your registration becomes active when you open the personal confirmation link. You can withdraw your consent easily and free of charge through the unsubscribe link in our emails.
Statistics and marketing measurement
Only when you allow statistics do we use Google Analytics 4 for the public pages of pulse.codegenie.be. We use a separate Pulse property and web stream. These measurements are not added to the codegenie.be Analytics property.
Only when you allow marketing do we activate a separate Google Ads marketing measurement destination through the same Google tag. This destination does not send an additional automatic page view. The website code sends no enhanced conversions or remarketing events and explicitly disables Google Signals and advertising personalisation.
We measure visited page paths, general origin, device and browser characteristics, and general interactions. We do not send arbitrary query values, form content, email addresses, other user-provided data, or personal confirmation and unsubscribe tokens. When you allow marketing, Google may process standard advertising click identifiers such as gclid, gbraid or wbraid to attribute an ad click to the correct campaign. Admin, mail and token routes are excluded.
If you reject both statistics and marketing when a page loads, the Google tag is not loaded and nothing is sent to Google. If you withdraw consent after the tag has loaded, we immediately send the denied state and stop further measurement. The tag remains completely blocked from the next page load. You can change both choices separately using Cookie preferences at the bottom left of public pages. Your stored Pulse choices and the first-party measurement cookies set by Pulse remain valid for no more than six months. Storage controlled separately by Google is governed by the applicable Google terms and your browser settings.
Recipients
Only Codegenie and suppliers required for hosting, database management and email delivery receive the minimum data needed. If you allow statistics or marketing, Google Ireland Limited receives and processes the related measurement data under the applicable Google terms and data protection arrangements. We do not sell your data or build advertising profiles.
Retention periods
- An unconfirmed request is deleted no later than seven days after the confirmation link expires.
- A confirmed registration is kept for no more than twelve months and deleted sooner when launch communications have ended.
- After unsubscribing, we keep the minimum registration status for no more than thirty days to complete processing correctly.
- Pseudonymised rate-limit data is normally deleted within one hour.
- Your stored Pulse choices and the first-party measurement cookies set by Pulse expire after no more than six months. Storage controlled separately by Google is governed by the applicable Google terms and your browser settings.
Your rights
